Jarret Berenstein is a writer, comedian, and film producer based in New York City. For over ten years he has performed and developed comedy in a variety of mediums, focusing at times on either improv, sketch or stand up.


As an improviser he has performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, the People’s Improv Theater, and the Magnet Theater where he is currently on one of the city's most popular house teams, Junior Varsity.


As a sketch writer he was awarded a TimeOut NY Critics’ Pick and won Best Solo Show at the LA Comedy Festival.  His online sketches include the viral sensations Sex and the City for Dudes, WhiteFriend, Norn, and Sponsor a Comedian. His comedy-news show Current Events ran uninterrupted for over two years in New York City.


As a stand up comedian he performs all over the country.  He has been featured on the Fox TV show Laughs and was TimeOut's Joke of the Week three times. He most recently performed at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland OR, the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival in Austin TX, the Young Guns of Comedy Competition, and the NC Comedy Arts Festival.
